Based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the East Riding Stages Rally is a closed road rally taking place on February 27th 2022.The event follows in the footsteps of the successful Clacton Rally which first ran in 2018, after Motorsport UK gave the green light for competitive motorsport events to take place on closed public roads.
Yorkshire has long been the hotbed of rallying in England and it is fitting that the county now joins the growing band of closed road stage rallies. Run by Beverley and District Motor Club, the club are hoping that the event will become a firm favourite amongst competitors and marshals alike. Running in late February, it gives crews a chance to shake down their old and new machinery without the pressure of championship points at stake.
The event will have four special stages, run over two loops, making a total of eight stages. The rally will offer 50 competitive miles over a mixture of roads, from tight and twisty to straight and simple, and have something new to test even the most seasoned competitors.
Spectators are welcome and can find more information on the club website at https://www.bdmc.org.uk/east-riding-stages
