Holme Moss Hillclimb

A celebration of the Holme Moss hillclimb will be held from 10am – 2pm on Saturday 13th August. Cars will gather at The Fleece pub and have a celebration, with non-competitive runs up the hill. £5 for a commemorative brochure, all profits to Yorkshire Air Ambulance. More details through the year.

1920 saw the first Holme Moss Hill Climb, organised jointly by the Huddersfield, Halifax and Bradford Automobile clubs. The first event was won by Capt Malcolm Campbell driving his Blue Bird Talbot. Over the four years that followed, famous drivers of the day such as Archie Frazer Nash, Raymond Mays, Parry-Thomas and local favourite Eddie Hall, competed for FTD on the fearsome hill.
