If you are heading to Race Retro then it might be worth taking your wallet with you. Iconic Auctioneers will present one of the most comprehensive single-vendor collections seen in recent years. More than 350 items of automobilia and 25 collectible motorcycles will cross the block at the Iconic Sale at Race Retro in February. Even if you are not looking to buy a new car or something for the garage then its well worth looking at the on line catalogue (link at the end).

The Collection of the late Ron Haigh brings together museum-quality memorabilia and important motorcycles, all offered without reserve from one enthusiast owner.
Estimated at more than £300,000 in total, the automobilia offering includes over 350 carefully sourced pieces, ranging from original enamel signs to period neon and illuminated advertising. Standout lots include an original Brough Superior showroom clock (£3,000 – £5,000), a large neon Buick sign (£7,000 – £10,000), a Gilera ‘Servizio’ enamel sign (£3,000 – £4,000) and a Maico shop sign light box (£3,000 – £4,000). Also featured is a Vincent illuminated shop sign used at the 1951 Earl’s Court Motorcycle Show (£4,000 – £5,000), a rare survivor from a defining moment in post-war motorcycling culture.
Alongside the automobilia, the sale includes Haigh’s personal collection of 25 motorcycles. Leading the group are his Vincent Black Shadow, Black Night, Rapide and Comet, machines that sit at the very top of post-war British motorcycling. Further highlights include BMW, Adler and Zundapp combinations, plus an ex-works Adler, offering collectors a focused selection that reflects both depth of knowledge and long-term enthusiasm.
Bidding is open to registered bidders in person, online and by telephone. Prospective buyers are encouraged to pre-register and upload identification in advance to ensure a smooth bidding experience. Full details on how to register can be found via the Iconic Auctioneers website.
