Holme Moss 100

One of the more unusual events I attend is the Holme Moss 100. Originally held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first hillclimb up Holme Moss. It has now become an annual event and it has grown steadily every year.

What is great about the event is the variety of the cars. From an early Alvis to a Toyota GR Yaris with everything in between. There were plenty of British Classic including a bevvy of Lotus Elans (including my own), a choice of Triumphs and an Aston Martin. Throw in a some japanese classics and the event becomes one of the most eclectic events you will visit.

The display changes constantly throughout the day as cars leave to climb the hill, some choosing not to return to the field while other cars arrive in a constant stream to replace them

And if that’s not enough it raises money for charity with ÂŁ1000 on the day and more to come.

We should also mention the Fleece Inn who provided some excellent food throughout the day.
